Mix the eggs, butter, sugar, flour and sour cream together. Then, lightly sprinkle the blueberries with a pinch of extra sugar. In a regular bundt cake mold, pour in a third of the batter and then a layer of blueberries. Repeat the layering step two more times. Bake for 1 hour or until lightly browned. Enjoy!

Be creative! Instead of blueberries, try apples, bananas, or crushed pecans sprinkled with cinnamon. Or add chocolate syrup for an extra moist cake!Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Churchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08350046249904867513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-665588321383691631.post-23923510573171133862007-09-26T15:44:00.000-07:002007-09-26T15:56:02.804-07:00Apple & Nut CakeThis is a great recipe from an old church recipe book:

3 cups of Granny Smith Apples chopped
3 cups of flour
2 cups of sugar
1 1/2 cups of oil
1 cup of chopped nuts
3 eggs
2 tsp of vanilla
1 tsp of baking power
1 tsp of salt

Mix together the oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. After you have that creamed, add the flour, baking power, salt and mix. The mixture should be tough to stir. Add your apples and nuts. Bake in a greased and floured 10 inch tube pan at 325 degress for an 1hour and 25 minutes. Cool before removing from the pan. Then add the topping (recipe below).

1 stick of margarine
1/4 cup of milk
1 cup of brown sugar

Mix all 3 together and bring to a boil. Cook for 2 1/2 minutes (not very long), then spoon over your cake and enjoy!

CatherinePleasant Hill Presbyterian Churchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08350046249904867513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-665588321383691631.post-4499651577681027762007-09-25T09:55:00.000-07:002007-09-25T09:56:26.421-07:00Community Harvest on October 13Check out the Community Harvest on October 13. We are waiting for the roof rafters to be installed. We are building a new administration building as well as the new worship center. It is indeed a very exciting time with many challenges, but as someone said from our church, "We must continue to be bold in our work for God!"Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Churchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08350046249904867513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-665588321383691631.post-25260345900712915232007-09-24T15:41:00.000-07:002007-09-24T15:46:03.864-07:00Welcome to our blog!Welcome to our blog!

We have set up this blog for those who want to comment about our christian lives.
